The nature of healing from viewing a regression depends upon the type of the dilemma. Phobias, for example, usually require getting to the root cause and then doing a trauma reversal along with reprogramming. Difficulty with friends or relatives might entail seeing the karmic implications and lessons that weren’t learned. Forgiveness for oneself and others usually plays a part with a lot of the healing work.

The concept of karma is often misunderstood by most people. Karma is never punishment, nor is it forced upon a person. Instead it is self accepted for the opportunity to learn and grow through the lessons of love and forgiveness. Imagine existing in the afterlife in a dimension in which you felt an overflowing of love and then viewing all of your actions that entailed injustices towards others. Life provides us with an opportunity to relearn from our mistakes.

The following are 3 examples of healing that unfolded from clients uncovering scenes from past lives.

Mildred had suffered for most of her life with an extreme phobic reaction to driving an automobile. In her 70s now, she found that being a passenger wasn’t much better. Upon regression back to the root cause and expecting to see some incident from this lifetime she was at first surprised and confused to see herself in a different time period. It was the 1920s, she was marrying the man of her dreams and was standing at the alter with him. After the wedding during the reception she and her new husband decided to sneak out and go for a drive through a mountainous terrain. Speeding through some switchbacks the car slid off the road and fell off a cliff killing her but not her husband. The trauma and fear had transferred over to this lifetime. Through hypnotic trauma reversal and reprogramming her phobia towards being in a car have been cleared and she is now able to ride being comfortable and at peace.

Frank, a single man in his 50s, always dreaded the annual family get-togethers during Christmas time. It was really only one family member that created all the stress he felt, his brother in law, Bill. Frank considered Bill to be a bully that for 20 years would try to pick arguments with him and use sarcastic put downs disguised in humor. Ignoring the antics for 20 years had built up a bottled up storage of stress inside him now. It was for his sister’s sake that he didn’t confront his brother in law and cause a scene. Upon regression to a past life two different lifetimes came up. In the first Frank was a peasant living on land owned by Bill’s wealthy father during the 1500s in England. Bill as a young man along with several of his hoodlum friends burst into Frank’s house one night unexpectedly. Bill raped his wife and then kidnapped her never to return her.

In the second lifetime seen it was actually Frank that was the perpetrator. Bill this time was the peasant, although an old man, living on land owned by the king in medieval Europe. Frank as a knight employed by the king shows up at Frank’s house accompanied by a few other of the king’s men and kidnaps Bill’s young beautiful daughter. This time it’s Bill that never sees his daughter again. Bill spends the rest of his life in anguish over the ordeal.

Through hypnosis a deeper level of forgiveness was established in Frank’s heart towards Bill due to the new understanding. Christmases are now enjoyed by Frank and strangely Bill’s antics seem to have almost disappeared without explanation.

Steve, 45 years old, single, a construction worker had been plagued his whole life with poverty. Due, in his own words, to “unconscious self destructive tendencies” he sabotaged all attempts to improve his own financial life. Along with this he also had a deep seated distrust of everyone. New but skeptical to the concept of reincarnation he was willing to try anything. His past life disclosed a time in the late 1800s as a very wealthy cattle rancher located in both southern Arizona and northern Mexico. Because of his wealth and quiet nature he was perceived as being unapproachable and thus lived a single lonely life. One day while driving one of the first automobiles down a barren dirt road he was ambushed, robbed and hung. He died with the strong thought of “it was all for nothing”. In this lifetime the fear was carried over of focusing totally on wealth and living another lonely life.

With reprogramming through hypnosis Steve felt a strange new shift and relief within himself. He recently obtained his state license to be a licensed contractor and has put himself in position to greatly improve his financial status for the first time in years.

Feeling stuck in a repeating pattern in your own life? Sometimes what is needed is a new and different perspective.

One of the purposes of hypnotherapy is to change old behaviours or habits for better ones. A good example is cigarette smoking. People who resort to cigarette smoking as a way of dealing with stress can get rid of their habit through hypnotherapy, or to increase your tennis edge through the development of good mental habits with regular hypnotherapy sessions. The hypnotherapist guides his or her patient to various imagery’s and aims to change how a patient feels with the behaviour.

During hypnosis, a patient is guided to a state of deep relaxation, like a trance. When engaging in this procedure, keep in mind that no matter how vulnerable you may seem during the process, a hypnotherapist cannot fully control your mind and meddle with your free will. A hypnotherapist may also teach his patient to control his or her state of consciousness and perform hypnosis on his or her own. With practice, a patient will be able to participate better and respond accordingly to his or her hypnotherapist.

Hypnotherapy has several stages. The first stage is re-framing the problem. This is when the patient and the hypnotherapist discuss how to go about the problem. The next step is the relaxation stage. This is the time when the patient focuses on the voice of the hypnotherapist. This is followed by the dissociating stage. During this stage, the patient lets go of critical thoughts and is already responding to the suggestions of the hypnotherapist. After this stage, the patient is “awaken” and goes back to his normal state of awareness. To complete the process, the patient and hypnotherapist both talks about what transpired in the session. This way, the patient is able to reflect on the experience and the hypnotherapist helps the patient understand what he or she felt during the experience.

Hypnotherapy affects both the mind and body. During this process, both your blood pressure and heart rate decrease. This effectively relaxes your body. When your body is in a trance-like state, the mind is able to focus better. In this state of trance, you will feel physically at ease but mentally awake. This leads to some changes in the activity of the brain, which makes the patient respond more easily to suggestions. If the patient wants to quit smoking, the hypnotherapist may

suggest that he or she won’t like the taste of cigarettes in the future. The success of the treatment depends on the cooperation of the patient. If he or she is willing to participate in the process, it will only take a few sessions before he or she is able to completely quit smoking.

Eventually, a hypnotherapist may teach his or her patients how to perform self-hypnosis. This is very effective for acute conditions like pain. For example, if the patient has a toothache, he or she may focus on an image that helps him or her forget the pain. Self-hypnosis also promotes self-control. Other conditions that may respond to hypnotherapy are insomnia, phobias, anxiety attacks, addictions, asthma, weight problems and some eating disorders.

Inside your subconscious mind are all of the memories of both the life you’re currently living or any of your past lives. Through past life regression you can finally uncover truths in your life in regards to the origin of a wide array of issues or themes you choose to explore. Repeating patterns that one has in the present life are usually found in previous lives as well. Past Life Regression is the process used to uncover the root cause of a pattern. Once uncovered it is then healed and transformed. A skilled competent hypnotherapist will almost always attempt to uncover verifiable information that can later be provable either through internet searches or other means. By acquiring names, dates and locations in a Past Life Regression many cases have been verified to be factual. In some very rare cases some people have been known to speak a language unfamiliar to them from the country of origin of the previous life complete with the dialect and phrases of the time period.

One thing is for certain with past life regression and that is that it is always intriguing and the results never cease to surprise the one uncovering aspects of his/her previous life. Truth is truly stranger than fiction!

The following hypnosis stories are just a few I have collected from some of my own clients over the years.

When Cold is Hot

I first learned how to hypnotize people when I was a lad of 14 years old. One of my early practice subjects was a friend around the same age. After getting him into a fairly deep trance, I had him hold out his hand and I placed an ice cube in it. He was then instructed to feel the feeling coming from the ice cube. After this, I mentioned that he had a hot burning coal in his hand. Immediately, he dropped the cube. Minutes later, he developed a blister on his hand.

From Stage 4 to Cancer Free

From other hypnosis stories… I once had a client that had been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer that had spread to her lymph system, breast and other regions of her body. She had given up on traditional doctors and was being seen by an alternative health care physician who gave her permission to have sessions with me.

I used several techniques, one of which was to have her go to the control room of her mind, a symbolic imaginary room filled with computers, screens, dials, etc. that controlled her body’s functions. On one of the screens, she saw her white blood cells multiplying and eating up the cancerous cells. She also turned up the dial controlling her boosted immune system. Other various applications were used in this control room of her mind.

The session was recorded and she played it to herself many times during the year. She originally had been expected to live for only about a year. That was five years ago and she is now doing fine, living an active life. The cancer went into remission over three years ago. To see her now, you would never believe that she had once been dying of cancer and given only a year to live.

Hypnosis Stories I’ve Heard from Other Hypnotherapists

The following hypnosis stories were pretty amazing tales that were told to me by reputable hypnotherapists.

The Last Lottery Number

Many years ago in Florida, a man came into my friend’s office and told him that he would like to hire him for a very unusual project. The man claimed that he had seen five of the six winning lottery numbers in a vision a few days before. The drawing was to be held two days later. He hadn’t been able to see the last number and wanted to be hypnotized to glimpse that last number. These and many other hypnosis stories have been told around the globe with many skeptics and many believers.

My friend declined to work with him, stating that this wasn’t the kind of work he did and that he only focused on helping people past problem areas. The man was insistent and upped the ante by offering to pay the fee plus give the hypnotherapist 10% of the winnings. My friend turned him away and gave him the name of another hypnotist that did work with him. As hard as it is to believe, the man actually did win the lottery!

Lost Family and a Silver Lining

The following story is one of my favorite of all hypnosis stories and was told to me by a fellow hypnotist. He had done a past life regression with a teenage girl who had seen her prior life in a small town in the Midwest. In this life, she had been born in the 1930s and worked as a bank teller. She lived with a brother and a sister in her parent’s house. One day, as a young woman, while crossing the street from the bank, she was hit by a car and was killed.

Factual data was obtained in this regression such as the name of the town, her name and the names of her siblings. After the regression, she did some research and discovered that the data checked out as being authentic. The family was still living there, so she boldly called them and told her strange story to them. Instead of dismissing her as a nut case, the man she spoke with claimed that he had indeed once had a sister that died after being struck by a car.

This man was as eager to meet this woman as she was. So, they met and went to the house where they had grown up, which was still being lived in by some relatives of the original family. She described the rooms to him as she had seen them before entering the house and they matched. While in the room that had been her bedroom, she made the comment, “I wonder if it is still here?”

“What would that be?” the man asked. The woman explained that when she had worked as a bank teller, she had been saving up money to buy a car. She had stashed the money behind a baseboard she had pried away in the closet. They allowed her to pry away the baseboard and, much to the amazement of everyone, discovered a small jar with a stack of silver dollars dated in the 1920s and 30s.
